Dust out,

After Builders Cleaning

Cleaning in Dublin
The clean that turns a finished build into a finished property. Plaster dust settles again after every sweep — this takes it out rather than moving it around.

What it is
The dust that keeps coming back
When an extension, a refit or a renovation finishes, the property looks finished and is not. Plaster and cement dust is fine enough to travel through a whole house on the air: into carpets, onto the top of every door frame, into rooms that were taped shut for a fortnight. Sweep once and it is back the next morning.
Ordinary cleaning moves that dust around instead of removing it. This job goes in a fixed order — debris out first, then a filtered vacuum over every surface from the ceiling down, and only after that anything wet. In the wrong order water turns plaster dust into a grey film that has to be taken off twice. It takes more than one pass: stage one gets a property from building site to habitable, stage two, once the airborne dust has come down, takes it to finished.
Then there is what the trades leave on the new surfaces: paint specks on glass and handles, adhesive and silicone smears, protective film and stickers on windows, appliances and sanitary ware. Taking those off without marking a finish that went in last week is most of the skill in this work. If the property goes straight to a tenant, see end of tenancy cleaning; with no building work behind it, the job is a deep clean.
What is included
From building site
to finished property
Debris & Site Rubbish Cleared
Packaging, offcuts, protective sheeting and general site rubbish out of every room first, so the cleaning starts on an empty floor.
Fine Dust, Everywhere It Went
Filtered vacuuming of ceilings, walls, tops of doors, light fittings, radiators, skirtings and inside every cupboard — then again once the airborne dust has settled.
Paint, Adhesive & Silicone
Specks, smears and residue off glass, tiles, handles, sockets and frames, cleared without marking the new finish underneath.
Protective Film & Stickers
Film, labels and barcodes off new windows, doors, worktops, appliances and sanitary ware, and the glue underneath cleaned away with them.
New Kitchens & Bathrooms
Units cleaned inside and out, grout haze off new tiling, appliances brought out of their packaging state and every new surface finished.
Damp Uncovered by the Work
Opening up walls often finds it. Surface mould is treated as we go — where water is still getting in, the cause needs a builder before any clean will hold.
Any of it can be taken on its own or combined with another service in the same visit — a deep clean of the rooms the builders never entered, an end of tenancy handover, the sofas and mattresses that sat under sheeting — as one job and one figure.
There is no price list on this site and no fixed package: the figure is always worked out for the property in front of us, because a single new bathroom and a whole-house refurbishment are not the same day's work.
The proof
What finished
actually looks like
No before-and-after pair from a building site here yet — that set is still being photographed. What there is: six rooms shot twice, before we started and when we finished, nothing retouched. It is the standard this clean ends at.

Asked most often
Why does it need more than one visit?
Fine dust stays in the air for a day or two after the tools stop. Clean once and a grey film is back the next morning. Two stages with a gap between them is the only way to finish the job, and it costs less than a callback.
How long does an after builders clean take?
A single new bathroom or a small refit is usually a half day per stage; a whole-house refurbishment, a day or more each time. How far the dust travelled matters more than the floor area, so photographs get you a realistic figure rather than a hopeful one.
Do you take away building waste?
We clear packaging, offcuts, sheeting and general site rubbish. Skip-sized rubble, and anything for a licensed waste facility, is a builder’s or a waste contractor’s job rather than ours. Say what is there when you ask, and there are no surprises on the day.
Will you scratch the new surfaces?
That is the main risk in this work, which is why the order matters and why residue comes off with the right solvent rather than a blade. Tell us about any delicate finish — brushed brass, natural stone, matt lacquer, coated glass — and it is treated accordingly.
Do you clean the windows and take the film off?
Yes — interior glass, frames, sills and tracks, plus the film, stickers and glue on new units. Exterior glass above ground floor level needs access equipment and a different trade. Glass booked on its own is covered on window cleaning.
Can you work to a handover date?
Yes, and tell us the date early: the gap in the middle means the schedule works backwards from your deadline. A first pass can run while snagging is going on, but the main clean waits until the tools are out — otherwise you pay for the same dust twice.
